Kaulav is an emergency-plan app for iPhone, in development. Right now this website does one thing with your data: it keeps a waitlist so we can tell you when the app launches. This page explains exactly what that involves.
Who is responsible
KaulavEmail: hello@kaulav.com
What we collect when you join the waitlist
- Your email address.
- The country you pick.
- Which link or post brought you here, and which headline you saw. We use these to learn which messages work.
- The date and time you joined.
We don't ask for your name, track your location or build a profile of you.
Why, and on what legal basis
- Launch emails: we email you when the app launches and about the founding price. Basis: your consent (GDPR Art. 6(1)(a)). After you sign up, we send one email asking you to confirm. Until you confirm, we send you nothing else.
- Learning what works: we count sign-ups by country, link and headline. Basis: our legitimate interest in improving our marketing (Art. 6(1)(f)). We only look at these as totals.
Who else handles it
- Vercel Inc. (USA) hosts this website. Its servers log your IP address and browser details for security, and keep them only briefly.
- Resend (Resend, Inc., USA) stores the waitlist and sends our emails.
- Microsoft Clarity (Microsoft Corporation, USA) shows us, in aggregate, how visitors use these pages: clicks, scrolling and page views.
- Google Fonts and unpkg deliver the fonts and icons on this page, so they receive your IP address.
These providers are in the United States. Where they are certified, transfers rely on the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework; otherwise they rely on the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses. We never sell or share your data for advertising.
Cookies and tracking
This site sets no cookies of its own and runs no advertising trackers. We use Microsoft Clarity to see how pages are used (clicks, scrolling, page views). We run it with cookie consent switched off, so Clarity gives each page view a new random ID instead of following you between pages or visits, and email fields are masked so it never sees what you type. Microsoft may still set its own cookies on its domains (clarity.ms, bing.com); your browser's third-party cookie settings control those. Basis: our legitimate interest in improving this site (Art. 6(1)(f)). Microsoft's privacy statement: microsoft.com/privacy.
How long we keep it
We keep your waitlist entry until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it. If the app does not launch, we delete the whole list. Every email has a one-click unsubscribe link.
Your rights
You can ask us to show you your data, correct it, delete it, limit how we use it, or send you a copy. You can object to the use based on legitimate interest, and withdraw your consent at any time. Email hello@kaulav.com and we will reply within 30 days. You can also complain to the data protection authority where you live.
California residents: we don't sell or share your personal information, and we won't treat you differently for using your rights.
Children
The waitlist is for adults. Please don't sign up if you are under 16.
Changes
If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top. If a change affects how we use your email, we will tell you by email first.
